Anti-Fraud Policy

Trust is the entire point of Search Ghana, so we build fraud prevention into the core flow rather than bolting it on:

  • Listing verification: no property appears publicly until a Verification Officer or Super Admin has reviewed it.
  • Escrow: rent is never paid directly to a landlord or agent — it is held by the platform until move-in is confirmed, which removes the incentive to fake a listing purely to collect a deposit.
  • Account status controls: Super Admins can suspend or ban accounts found to be fraudulent.
  • Dispute freeze: any suspicious booking can be frozen by an admin, halting fund release until investigated.

Reporting fraud

If you suspect a listing or user is fraudulent, use the Contact Us page or report it from within your dashboard. Do not send money to anyone outside the platform's checkout — Search Ghana will never ask you to pay a landlord directly.

This page was drafted by Search Ghana to describe how the platform actually works. It is provided as a starting point and has not been reviewed by a lawyer — have it checked against current Ghanaian law before relying on it as a binding legal document.
